I was shooting a wedding near the beach not too long ago and the bride kept mentioning her Yeti tumbler. I had never heard of such a thing and immediately kept thinking Big Foot. I finally asked her what she was referring to. Well apparently Yeti has quite the following. There are cups, coolers, and gear oh my! So she told me she puts ice in it and doesn’t have to add ice for “days”. I was like oh yeah ok. (I didn’t believe her) (No offense if you are reading this dear bride). Well a great friend of mine was visiting and we were walking around downtown Frederick, Maryland and I stumbled across them in a local store! I asked the owner and he said they were great – so I picked up two. I had several choices and decided to go big! What can I say, they are fab. I am not kidding when I say I put ice in it and fill it with water and the ice will literally last for days. Just ask Crystal, I am sure ice photos she received in text probably hourly for a few days got old! It does seem to last longer when you “prime” it – for example put ice in – fill with water – and then possibly add more. So priming it – makes the metal colder than just taking it out of your cabinet. I literally will fill it with ice and water, and leave it on the counter over night and the next morning there is still ice and water that is very cold. Now I have sometimes noticed on like day 2 maybe the ice would be gone – but the water would still be COLD. I think it is fab, indeed.
