Atlanta, Georgia – Ponce City Market

Ponce City Market Atlanta

Today we ventured back to Ponce City Market in Atlanta. I work near the market and have watched the renovation progress over the past year. We recently dined at Brezza Cucina for our office Christmas lunch. That was the first time that I went inside the Ponce City Market. I loved it but didn’t have time to check everything out in detail like I wanted to. The lunch at Brezza Cucina was fantastic. Since we had a large party they served us family style. Be sure to try the Kale salad! I swear that I disliked Kale before that salad but since then I have made the salad three times at home. It is good.

H & F Burger

Today my son and I ate at H&F Burger. It was also fantastic and very reasonably priced. The fries are insanely good and are only $2, do yourself a favor and get them. We both had the cheeseburgers and they were perfect. The service was great and the atmosphere was very good!

Ponce City Market has a dining hall. Some of the restaurants are not sit down restaurants so you can eat at the centrally located tables. We dined at H&F Burger but you could get it to go and eat at some of the other tables if you are with friends that are getting food from another restaurant. We found that it is less crowded at the tables upstairs.

The stores at Ponce City Market are very beautiful and nice to shop in. Some are located outside and some inside so be sure to look around everywhere.

The building was built in 1926 and was originally the Sears, Roebuck, & Co. Building so the architecture is beautiful.

If you go up two floors from the dining hall it leads outside to a beautiful roof top garden view and the walkway to the Atlanta Beltline. The Beltline is very nice so we took a walk after lunch. Even the bike valet area of the Ponce Market is pretty.

The attention to detail at the market is nice. One note on the parking. Be sure to remember your license plate number and go to a parking kiosk right after you park. You pay in advance, you just enter your license plate number, your card and enter the number of hours you will be there. It’s very quick and easy. If you are in the Atlanta area take some time to visit the Ponce City Market, I do think you will enjoy it! I plan to go back often…there are many restaurants that I have not tried yet!
