Fitbit – App that reads my fitbit (I have the Charge HR
– well my husband has it – and I wear it). This tool and this app keep me moving. I have alarms set on mine to go off every hour to remind me to get up and take a quick walk. I am fortunate because I work at the National Institutes of Health – specifically National Cancer Institute and we believe in our mission, so activity throughout the day is encouraged. So I try to honor the alarm and at least get up and walk around the building inside or outside. My goal is to leave work with 10,000 steps. My daily goal is to get 13,000 steps. I typically get my monthly goal – but will not be this month 🙁 But this tracker has made me be aware of moving around – I park the furthest away as possible, I walk to the furthest bathroom, take the stairs, walk to talk to people in the office instead of calling or emailing. It all adds up. Fabulous Indeed! If you use this app and want to be friends – leave a comment!
Sport & Health – app for my gym. This app let’s me see what activities are coming up that I may want to go to – I love classes and go as often as I can. I changed jobs in October and as I mentioned above can now workout at work when I get in in the morning – so I haven’t been as active in the classes at the gym, but hey at least I am working out!
Myfitnesspal – something I need to be using more – maybe in the new year – I will log in each day and track food and exercise. I will try! If you use this app and want to be friends – leave a comment!
P Tracker Lite – very simple period tracker. Sorry for TMI – but I have never been regular/consistent, so this tool is handy to keep track of Aunt Flo.
Instagram – One of the many social media apps that I use. You can INSTAntly share anything. I like it! I was quite late to the party on this one. Between Crystal and I we have 3 accounts fabulousindeed kandrphoto and stitchedintogear – please follow us!
Hipstamatic – This app apparently was Apple’s original app of the year. Only available on iPhone and is the original photo filter app.
Here are a few of my favorite Hipstamatic snaps
Shutterfly – Backing up your iPhone photos has never been easier. It is so good – it will backup pics I don’t need – random screenshots or snaps that I need only briefly…I have it set to automatically back up when there are new photos. Now I just need to remove the photos from my phone – I never do this!!
Snapseed – This app is almost like photoshop on your iPhone.
A few of my faves
