IPSY GLAM BAG – February Glam Bag. I subscribed to Ipsy for years, and took a break for a while. I decided to re-sign up for the sake of this blog. But honestly, now that I got my first bag with the re-subscription, I see why I quit. It is fun to get the items to try, but I think this bag was a real dud for me.
The bag always is this pink bubble package, which I have reused.
Each month you get a bag – a cosmetic bag, which honestly is very useful, but you can only use/have so many bags. You also get a card that talks about the theme. I wish the card talked about the products, but it doesn’t.
The IPSY GLAM BAG – February Glam Bag card says: This February we’re taking our favorite shade from dainty to daring with rule-breaking looks for all beauty lovers!
I don’t really care for this bag, I guess I have seen worse, but I don’t like this one!
Each month you get 5 products based on your profile. Sometimes you get a sample size sometimes they are full size. These are my five items. Honestly, I don’t love any of them. The brush is ok, but again – none are fab.
First up is Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Oil. OK, I like my makeup -but honestly have never really gotten into primers. I find them un-necessary. This product does get rave reviews.

This was sealed with a seal, that honestly didn’t seal the container. I took it off and there was product all over. You can see here that it is all in the lid and the edges of the top of the product. I always find loose pigments very messy. This is a pretty color though.
Chella Lip Pencil. I must prefer twist up pencils, this is one you have to sharpen, I don’t like that. Then there is the color. It isn’t AWFUL, but I would never wear this.
What they say:
The Chella MOISTURIZING Lipstick keeps your lips soft and will leave you loving your lips! Slip this luxuriously creamy pencil onto your lips. Plus, it’s high in Vitamins C & E and Sunflower Oil.
- Moisturizing and creamy
- Sunflower Oil natural antioxidant
- Vitamin C and E natural antioxidant
Shade is Passionate Pink.
Weight: .04 oz
Full size is $18, their website doesn’t give the ounces for the full size – but most everything online says this sample is about 1/2 the size of full size.

This is full size and retails for $12
Final value: $66.46 – so that is quite a deal since I only paid $10. But honestly, I wouldn’t have purchased any of these products nor even seek to try them.
When I see some of the other options that they had to send me there were some other good options. I wish I had gotten: Perfect Formula Pink Gel Coat, Mr. Write Now from the Balm, OGX shower oil, Elizabeth and James Black roller ball – I wonder what size sample they got?, Josie Maran illuminating wand, Not Your mothers blow dry accelerator, Luxie Blending eye brush, OGX anti-gravity, and actually a few more – so yeah – I could have gotten some better options!
