Russell has been raving about this brisket he tried at work, come to find out it was mail order Luling City Market Brisket. It was from a company called Luling City Market which is in Houston, Texas. We decided to order it for Easter.
It came in two days and was still pretty cold when we got it! You are to put it in the fridge as soon as you get it.
I had to call the market, because our package didn’t have any instructions. I wasn’t about to ruin this meat! They put me through to the chef! I felt so important. He told me to heat the oven to 250 degrees and put the brisket in a pan with some water in the bottom (I used my turkey pan with a rack). Tent it with foil, and poke holes in the foil. He said it would probably take about 30 minutes to heat through.
The verdict – it was really good! We loved that it was something different. I would like to try some other items from Luling City Market…and even better go there one day!
