We spent the day at Callaway Gardens last week. It is a wonderful place to spend the day or even the weekend. They have a beautiful hotel and cabins if you would like to spend the night. The day guest admission price is $20.00 for adults, $15.00 for seniors, $10.00 for kids (age 6-12), and ages five and under are free.
There are countless walking and biking trails that meander through the gardens. We usually spend the day riding bikes through the garden and stop for lunch. Then we ride again to the various attractions throughout the gardens.
The Callaway discovery center is where you can see the birds of prey show. I went to the show for the first time last week. It was pretty amazing.
The scenery never gets old because there is a beautiful garden every direction you turn!
Be sure to visit the Day Butterfly Center. If you stand still the butterflies will land on you!
Callaway is known for it’s beautiful azalea gardens. Our timing was not right for this visit and we missed them while they were in bloom.
Along a path near the Azalea Bowl there is a stunningly beautiful church. It is a small church nestled beside a creek and a lake.
There are so many things to do at Callaway Gardens including golf, treetop adventure and zip lines, Robin Lake beach, skiing & water sports, and so much more!
Callaway is located in Pine Mountain, Georgia. It was a very pretty town to visit.
If you visit Callaway Gardens I hope you have a wonderful time. It’s a great place to spend a day outdoors!
