The Sephora Play box was announced several months ago, being who I am, I immediately wanted one! Naturally, I had to join the waiting list. My first box is May’s Sephora Play box. They started in September 2015.
The Sephora Play box comes once a month and includes 5 deluxe samples plus a fragrance sample and costs $10. There will be tips, tricks, how-tos, and beauty advice to get the most out of the products.
Sephora has several information pages
Each month I will open the box, and review the previous boxes items since I will then have had time to use the products.
This boxes theme is The Forces of Nature.
This month, discover products that are high performing – and good for you, too. Take your beauty back to its roots with hardworking formulas like a brightening facial treatment for petal-soft skin, an antioxidant-rich lipstick made with organic ingredients, and more products that prove that looking beautiful is only natural.
It also comes with this card that if you take it to Sephora and make a purchase you get an additional 50 points in your rewards account.
Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair Deep Conditioning Mask – An intensive weekly treatment to restore essential hydration and enhance hair’s resilience to protect against future damage.
This product get’s only ok reviews on Sephora’s website. I will give it a try.
Korres Wild Rose + Vitamin C Advanced Brightening Sleeping Facial. An overnight facial-in-a-jar to address uneven skintone while improving skin texture for a brighter, more luminous complexion in as little as one night.
I love a good overnight moisturizer/facial. It is getting mixed reviews on Sephora’s site, but I will give it a try and let ya’ll know what I think.
Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick. A collection of high-impact lipsticks in dimensional shades that have been handcrafted to deliver extreme moisture, soft texture, and creamy wear.
This color is called Kimchi – Shocking Pink. Um yeah, I am not gonna use this. I do like how smooth and creamy it is – but it is much too shocking.
People love Bite Beauty lipsticks. I have never tried one, but would prefer a wearable color.
Tarte Tarteist Lip Crayon. A two-in-one lip liner that helps prime and line lips for a perfectly-contoured look. This color is wearable for me 🙂 Latergram-mauve. Can I switch the colors please? 🙂
I am not a big lip liner wearer, but will give this a try.
Origins Maskimizer Skin-Optimizing Mask Primer. Maskimizer™ Skin-Optimizing Mask Primer preps, primes, and optimizes skin for mask to follow. It improves spreadability and rinseability of masks while hydrating, soothing, and boosting skin’s radiance immediately. Great for use with every type of mask except peel-off, it softens skin and boosts hydration levels.
I had no idea you needed a pre-mask step – but I will give it a try.
I typically don’t like perfume samples, this one is the old style perfume sample with the cap not a spray. Me no likey. Atelier Cologne Orange Sanguine Cologne Absolute Pure Perfume. Orange Sanguine, a zesty and energizing burst of crushed ripe fruit, plays off sweet blood orange juice against bitter orange peel and sensual notes of geranium. Complete with a handcrafted leather cap and a removable pump that allows for splash or spray use, this cologne brings to mind relaxed mornings, sunrises, and soft sea breezes.
Notes: Blood Orange, Bitter Orange, Jasmine, Geranium, Amber Woods, Tonka Beans, Sandalwood
I liked this scent, not sure I would purchase it though.
I enjoyed this box, I am sure it is worth $10 and I will get some usage out of these products. Have you tried Sephora Play or any of these products?
