Doesn’t every girls trip start at a biscuit restaurant? If not, then it’s not being done correctly. This is what we do in the South!
Holly was in town for a short visit all the way from Germany. Kerry flew in from Maryland and well…Kendra and I just drove to the airport. The perks of being local. We made reservations at The W Hotel Downtown Atlanta and really the only plans we talked about beforehand were hanging poolside. Because the hotel pool at the W is amazing. But first biscuits.
Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit is located in Virginia Highlands in Atlanta. The bakery is just adorable.
Everything in the bakery screams “southern charm”. Even the “Bless Your Heart” note card. Yeah, we all know what “Bless Your Heart” means in the South!
The biscuits were some of the best I have ever had. We all loved the dishes that they were served on. They reminded us of Grandma’s house!
The sweet tea was spot on with a little bit of mint.
Jumbo-o-o-crabcake
If you are in the area do yourself a favor and stop by this bakery!
So, enough talk about biscuits. We tootled around Virginia Highlands for a bit and then headed towards the hotel. Only to be stopped by the HOT light at Krispy Kreme! Quite literally two miles from Virginia Highlands. So biscuits and donuts within the first few hours of the girls trip. I think I like where this is going. Stay tuned to see what we eat do next.
