We recently traveled to Huntsville, Alabama for a car show (no surprise there)! The drive from Atlanta is about three hours but the drive is not the easiest. That is putting it mildly. The drive is mostly on a smaller highway that has a lot of stop lights that go on forever. I think the next time we visit Huntsville we will travel to Chattanooga and then over to Huntsville. I’ve been told that is an easier route. However, as you get close to Huntsville the scenery is very pretty in the Lake Guntersville area. The homes and lake are very nice.
I had a list of great things I planned to see in Huntsville but after the long drive I was just over it and the list got smaller and smaller. Almost non-existent really. However, I never give up on food. I knew Bridge Street Town Centre would have a good selection of restaurants so before the car show we went to check it out. The shopping / town centre is amazing and huge. One of my least favorite things to do is to shop. Can’t stand it. However, it is necessary sometimes so having an outdoor shopping area makes it so much nicer. I can’t explain it but it does. The landscaping is beautiful and there is a nice lake in the middle of the town centre.
There is a carousel and a train ride for the little ones. There are so many stores, too many to list. Also, there is a movie theatre and a hotel.
We had a nice lunch at Red Robin and strolled back through the shopping area and headed to the car show. I didn’t go into one store but they all looked very nice! If you are in Huntsville be sure to check out the Bridge Street Town Centre.
