I’m so late with this Survivor recap, I can’t believe I’m treating one of my favorite shows this way! I really like the concept of Millennials vs. Gen-X. It’s yet another way that Survivor is always mixing it up.
Also, new this year is the advantage that will be revealed towards the end of the game if the person has not been voted out yet. If they are voted out, they must will it to another player.
Jessica of the Gen-X tribe found it at the beginning of the game when both tribes were running around trying to collect food and supplies. She did a good job of hiding it and also not telling anyone about it. Did you notice when they were evacuating she was quick to ask if they could take their belongings! Hmmm, wonder why?! 🙂
The Gen-X tribe chose the fishing gear and the Millennials chose to take the chickens. We shall see how those decisions play out.
It’s hard to learn everyone by name on the first episode so I hope these pictures will help. Mari made a funny comment when she didn’t join the rest of the tribe while they were swimming instead of building the shelter. She said something like, “Momma says to come back in”. She seems pretty low-key and from first impression has potential to go far.
Zeke is my early favorite as far as entertainment goes. I like people who can talk to the camera and be funny. Actually, he might go pretty far, he did make fire!
Michaela didn’t get much air time but she also seems pretty low-key so far.
Michelle joined in with Figgy and the two guys as part of the “pretty and popular group”.
Hannah was trying to team up with Mari as the self-described “nerd or weird” group.
Adam seemed to be the most level-headed on the Millennial Tribe. I like him as one of my favorites so far.
Jay, Figgy, and Taylor have aligned.
Figgy mentioned that she likes to flirt and maybe she will go home with a million dollars and a husband.
Taylor and Jay seem to be besties already.
Will is a high school student and is the youngest player, he is 18.
A group photo of the Millennial Tribe before they were evacuated due to the cyclone.
The Millennials figured out that there was a weight limit for their shelter!
Ken said that he lived off the grid in Hawaii and had pointers on how to build a shelter. He went about it in the right way, he said he was no expert but can listen to direction well. He might be a strong player because of his social game.
Sunday is a mother of four and had some words about how Millennials live. Her name was written down at tribal council and I don’t know why.
“Scared of his own shadow” David. He kinda messed up when he got overly paranoid and went to find an idol. Hopefully, he can relax a little and enjoy the game. He is probably a nice guy, he just seems very nervous.
David didn’t like the loud noises from the hammering.
Chris seemed to be a very hard worker and also very good at the social game so far. He has potential.
CeCe seemed nice but her name was written down also at tribal council.
The shelter did not fair well after the storm!
Did anyone else notice that the tarp from the Gen-X tribe was returned to Jeff neatly folded and the tarp from the Millennials was kinda wadded up in a mess? Just an observation…
Tribal council was pretty uneventful except for everyone talking about David being scared of everything.
Rachel was the first one voted out. I’m sure this season will be good and I will be here to recap it weekly!
