A Day In Blue Ridge Georgia

A Day in Blue Ridge Georgia

We recently drove to Blue Ridge, Georgia to drive a tank at Tank Town USA.  The drive should be approximately two hours north of Atlanta but of course there was plenty of traffic.  I think it was due to the crowds that go North for the fall so hopefully it’s not that way all the time!  The town of Blue Ridge is very nice.  The buildings are very nice.

There are plenty of nice shops in town to browse through.

We went into the Blue Ridge Olive Oil Company to taste olive oils and balsamic vinegars.  It was pretty fun.  Rose decided to get the Picholine Olive Oil from Spain.

Rose also tried a vanilla ice cream with blood orange olive oil on top and she loved it!

We also managed to find The Sweet Shoppe!  They won Cupcake Wars on Food Network.  Rose said that the cupcake was awesome.  Everything in the shoppe looked amazing!

Look at the size of the caramel apples!

Please let me be able to bake and cake and make it look as pretty as these one day!

We had lunch at Harvest on Main, it’s located right above the Sweet Shoppe.  The inside of the restaurant is beautiful.

The food was also good!  I had the classic caesar salad with salmon added.

Damon and Kobe both had the Brasstown Farm Burger.

Rose had clam chowder.  I loved the cast iron kettle it was served in.  I need some of them!A Day in Blue Ridge Georgia

After lunch we strolled through the town again and went into a candy / fudge shop.  The chocolate caramels are so good!

Blue Ridge is a nice way to spend the day!  Next time I visit I would like to go on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway!  It came through town while we were there and it looks like it would be fun.  I just noticed that there is a Santa Express ride.  I think I will add that to my list!
