Dupe Alert! IT Cosmetics Je Ne Sais Quoi Hydrating Color Awakening Lip Treatment

Dupe Alert ~

I have seen several videos where people find a dupe for a high end product with a less expensive product, and I always love them!  We will call this Dupe Alert!

I am not the first person to notice that this is a dupe but it truly is a dupe, so I wanted to share this fabulous dupe with you!  Save Your Money!!!

First of all IT Cosmetics is one of my favorite brands, I love their CC Cream, their celebration foundation, their brushes, eyebrow pencil and their mascaras.  Seriously, everything I have ever tried of theirs I really love and continue to repurchase.

They recently released Je Ne Sais Quoi Hydrating Color Awakening Lip Treatment.  We have established how much I love a good lip balm, and am a firm believer that you can never have too many lip balms laying around (Maybe one day I will be brave enough to take a picture of my stash and share it with you all – no probably not!)

So, I took french in High School and College and know that Je Ne Sais Quoi means I don’t know 🙂  You think I am smart don’t you.  (You don’t, well ok then)

Sephora now carries IT Cosmetics (YAY!!), before you could only get it through IT’s website, QVC, and Ulta (at least to my knowledge).  Well now you can add Sephora to that list!!

Sephora’s website says this:

What it is:
An innovative, lip-reviving, color-infused balm that provides hydration and a naturally flushed lip color.

What it does:
Developed with plastic surgeons, this game-changing, color-infused lip balm awakens your lips with intense hydration and a perfect flush of pink. Essential butters and oils, hyaluronic filling spheres, and antioxidants smooth the look of lip lines and lock in moisture, while proprietary Vitality Lip Flush Technology™ reacts with the warmth of your lips to create a beautiful pop of color that lasts all day.

This product is $24 for .11 ounces.

The packaging is really cute and typical for IT Cosmetics.

How cool that they even stamped the logo into the product.  The lid is also magnetic so when you put the top on you get that satisfying snap with the magnetic pull!

The dupe I am testing is from ELF.

I picked it up at Target for $6.00 for .11 ounces.

What Elf says:  This innovative lip tint reacts with the chemistry of your lips to deliver a personalized, perfect shade of pink, berry, or peach! The ethereal hue gives a sheer flush of color that enhances the natural beauty of your lips. The gel-based formula glides on smoothly and is infused with Shea Butter to moisturize and nourish.

So clearly, this package is a bit cheaper looking that the IT packaging. But really we aren’t buying it for the packaging (well Crystal might :).

The amount of product is the same, although it doesn’t really look like it.

You know I must really love you all because I am going to share a picture of me with it on!

Top lip was Elf, bottom lip was IT.

See I told you that I loved you.  I see a slight difference in color – the ELF is a bit more PINK.

And here it is in natural lightDupe Alert ~

The IT was more shiny too and seemed a bit more moisturizing.

Here are the swatches on my hand, again the Elf is much more PINK.

I have also heard the ELF is a dupe for the Dior version which is $33!

I personally like both, but would not repurchase the IT Cosmetics version, since I found such a great dupe.
