Is it worth a full size? www.fabulousindeed.com

I have seen videos called sample showdown before, and thought I would like to post reviews about samples that I have tried.  Is it worth a full size?  I will review the product and tell you whether I think it is worth purchasing the full size.

Is it worth a Full Size?

Jack Black Double-Duty Face Moisturizer SPF 20

Worth a full size? ~ www.fabulousindeed.com

What it is:

A lightweight, multitasking daily moisturizer that acts as a broad-spectrum sunscreen and an advanced facial treatment.

What it is formulated to do:

Double-Duty Face Moisturizer provides lasting hydration to skin, minus the oiliness or heaviness. It contains blue algae extract to keep skin supple and reduce inflammation along with sea parsley, which contains a combination of naturally occurring vitamins A and C and minerals to improve skin’s overall appearance. UVA and UVB protection plus potent antioxidants help shield skin from premature aging due to sun exposure.

My thoughts:

I used this while I was on the Cape visiting family.  I really liked this – but am not sure I would actually repurchase, it was fine, but not earth shattering.  I did like that it had SPF but really 20 isn’t enough.  The full size is $28

Boscia Detoxifying Black Cleanser

Worth a full size? ~ www.fabulousindeed.com

What it is:

A warming gel cleanser that deeply cleans and detoxifies the complexion.

What it is formulated to do:

This Black Cleanser heats up on contact with skin to effectively open and de-clog pores. Its gel texture transforms into a gentle and effective lather to dissolve oil and makeup, rinsing away pore-clogging surface debris, impurities, and excess oil. It refines skin texture, brightens skin clarity, and minimizes the look of pores over time.

My thoughts:

I really liked this.  I used it while in Atlanta for a quick girls trip.  I really liked that it heated up on my face.  It is a little pricey at $28, but I would for sure consider purchasing a full size or the travel size which is $10.  (Update, I actually did order the full size!)

Pssssst! Dry Shampoo

Is it worth a full size? ~ www.fabulousindeed.com

What it is:

Psssst Instant Dry Shampoo is an effective solution to transform dull dirty hair without washing. Contains a perfected amount of powder to absorb excess oil, eliminate odor and product build up while boosting volume. Hair looks, feels, and smells freshly shampooed without the use of water. Just spray, brush, and go.

What it is formulated to do:

Shake can vigorously. Hold 6 inches to 8 inches from hair. Lift sections of hair and lightly spray scalp and roots. Shake can between usage to ensure optimum results. Wait a few minutes, then brush thoroughly. Style hair as desired.

My thoughts:

I love dry shampoo.  Seriously, I love it.  My hair is very fine, and can tend to get limp and oily.  Dry shampoo adds grit and some texture to my hair, I don’t always use it on dirty hair, sometimes I even use it on clean hair if I need a bit of oomph.  I like this, and have repurchased.  I love to try different dry shampoos and have never found one that I would never cheat on.  But this one is a very good contender to be my holy grail dry shampoo.  This product has a great scent and doesn’t leave as much white/grey residue as others that I have tried.  (Currently using a high end one and it is no bueno! stay tuned for that!  Spoiler alert – DRYBAR!)

Soapbox Shampoo and Conditioner

Is it worth a full size? ~ www.fabulousindeed.com

What it is:

There is more to gain from SoapBox’s Coconut Oil Shampoo and Conditioner than smelling like a tropical island getaway.  Rich in Vitamins E and K, coconut oil works by penetrating into the hair follicles and binding around hair’s proteins (like a tiny hug!), leaving hair thick and moisturized.

My thoughts:

I received these in my Target Beauty Box back in February of this year.  I brought it with me on the 27 hour girls trip in Atlanta and my 48 hours on Cape Cod.  This brand is great.  They donate to people in need – buy one, give one.  It is a great concept.  Their mission:  SoapBox’s mission is to offer our customers everyday, quality products that give back.  That’s why for every product sold, a bar of soap is give to a person in need, both here in the US and abroad!  Each of our products has a unique Hope Code which, if entered, will show you which project your purchase will support.

I can really get behind a company like this.  I will definitely purchase again.  I really liked both the shampoo and the conditioner, and these samples were quite generous!  I am so funny about coconut, I hate coconut as coconut, but I tend to like the scent and flavor of coconut, so I guess it is really the texture of coconut that I don’t care for!  I would like to try some of their other flavors that they offer.  The price is really great and they are easily available at Target and Giant.

Bliss Products

Is it worth a full size? ~ www.fabulousindeed.com

What it is:

Foaming Face wash:  A two-in-one oil-free exfoliating wash for all skin types, this fresh, fruity cleanser contains rose hip extract, milk thistle, passion flower and chamomile in a non-stripping formula that rebalances even the most scattered of skins.

Body wash:  This citrus-scented liquid soap whips up a luxe lather that cleans and conditions for supremely soft skin. Use as a body wash to shake up your shower, or pour a bit into the bath for a more stimulating soak; either way, it’ll make routine foaming much more fabulous.

Body Butter:  Bliss’ Lemon + Sage Body Butter restores moisture to even the most ‘rough and scaly skin’ as it protects the skin from free radicals. It smooth’s, softens, and hydrates dry skin, without making it feel greasy. Used in over 70,000 Bliss Spa massages every year worldwide, this superior skin-smoothing formula has gained a huge following – making it one of Bliss’ best selling products.

My thoughts:

While in Atlanta at the W, I picked these up.  I loved that they gave great products in the hotel.  I have always used the Lemon+Sage body butter, so knew I loved that.  I really enjoyed the foaming face wash, and actually brought it with me to the Cape, it works great with the Clarisonic.  I also loved the body wash.  I would repurchase any of these products and believe Bliss products are available at Kohls and Ulta.

Stay tuned for more sample showdowns!  I am really trying to go through all of the samples I have, instead of just keeping them stashed away!  Have you tried any good products lately?
