The ladies of the Gen-X tribe wasted no time trying to explain why they voted out Paul when they returned from tribal council. Chris and Bret were irritated but they took the news better than I was expecting.
It wasn’t too long before Lucy came in to talk to Chris and Bret the next morning to place the blame of Jessica. Lucy said that Jessica orchestrated the entire thing and that she was power-hungry.
Chris, Bret, Sunday, and Lucy were ready to vote Jessica out at the next tribal. Lucy went to David and Ken and told them to vote for Jessica along with a very long list of rules of what to do, who to talk to and what not. Ken didn’t take the demands very well at all.
Lucy even said that she can be a lot to take and that she can be a little bossy. She said that it works at home so it should work here. Followed immediately with that fact that she irritates her husband and kids at home. Doesn’t she know that you can’t boss people around in Survivor and the very fact that she acknowledges that she is irritating at home should give her a clue that she will irritate complete strangers. As soon as she said all of this I was hoping she would be voted out.
It didn’t take long for Ken to tell Jessica of the plan and then of course Jessica asked the group throwing everything into a tailspin. I did appreciate Ken’s very blunt honest statements that he didn’t like being bossed around. He cuts to the chase.
The reward challenge was intense and would be my very least favorite thing to do if I were ever on Survivor. Everyone was all red and scratched up when they came out of the water. No thanks. Chris was a machine though.
Also, Michaela kicked butt. She even took off her bathing suit top because it was in her way! She did awesome.
The waves were intense and nearly took Jeff Probst down!
It deserves two pictures! 🙂 Also, look at that water and that tiny little island.
This was the reward at the challenge. I say that I wouldn’t like to participate in that challenge and get pulled on and beat up but if this food was on the line and I hadn’t eaten in twelve days I might be out there acting all tough and crazy. Probably even “hangry”.
Meanwhile over at the Millennials camp they are ready to go hunting because they think there are pigs and they saw a goat. Just look at this camp! I couldn’t live at this camp, I would have to tidy up and organize everything.
Shocking news is that they didn’t catch the goat but they did climb the hill and talked the whole way up. I’m not a hunter but I think quiet is probably the way to go about it.
While they were gone it gave Adam time to find a clue to an idol which he later did find. He told us about his mom being a super fan and battling lung cancer. He was so excited to find this idol for her to see!
The immunity challenge was cool, I would like to try it. The chair lift looked pretty fun. However, the Gen-X tribe picked the biggest guy to hoist up. I would love to know why they chose him.
Both tribes struggled with the puzzle portion of the challenge. It took over 45 minutes but the Millennials won.
Going into tribal council I wasn’t sure which way it was going to go. In a shocking move that I can’t figure out David played his idol for Jessica. She would have been voted out if it weren’t for the idol. Instead, Lucy was voted out. I think the only people who voted for Lucy were David and Ce Ce. So, now David is without an idol and he probably put himself on the outs with the majority. I think even Ken voted for Jessica. Someone tell me if you think you know what David’s strategy is! As long as they weren’t talking about writing his name down, he could have just saved his idol and let Jessica go without putting a potential target on his back.
I’m fine with Lucy being voted out though. My favorites on the Gen-X tribe right now are Ken and CeCe. On the Millennials I like Zeke, Adam and Jay. If you missed last week’s recap, check it out here!
