So I think twice a year Sephora offers a 20% coupon code to their Beauty Insiders, VIB’s, and VIB Rouge. What are these you ask? Well BI (Beauty Insider) is everyone who joins the club. It is free to be in the club and you get rewards for your purchases, there is no reason to not join. VIB is for people who spend $350/year at Sephora – I fall in this category, but would much rather fall under Rouge which is for people who spend $1000/year! Of course, I don’t do that – but could EASILY. VIB rouge members get access to sales earlier than VIB’s and BI’s.
You can read all about the different levels and their benefits here.
Regardless, the sale is almost always near my birthday. I like to use the sale as a way to stock up on things that I know I like and use and hopefully to try some new things. Here is what I picked up. (DON”T JUDGE 🙂 AND PLEASE always use EBATES and get paid for your shopping!
This is a re-purchase for me. I picked it up at last years sale, and it really took me a year to use it up. I, as you have learned, have dry skin and sometimes things work and sometimes things don’t, I do best, when I rotate through various products based on my skin at any given time.
Russell benefited from this sale too. I bought him a sampler kit from The Art of Shaving last year (probably in the VIB sale or Cyber Monday sales)….and he finally tried it out recently, and completely fell in love. This is the second full-size cream I have purchased – so the sale is the perfect time to buy it – with that discount! I am still figuring out how long it takes him to go through it – but most likely 6-8 weeks…He shaves his head with it.
These next 2 products fall under the category of I have been wanting it – so now that I can get it on sale, I will click purchase. This nail polish remover gets good reviews, and you can apparently remove all five nails of polish at one time. Who doesn’t want to try that?
As I have made aware, I was quite jealous that Crystal got IT Cosmetics mascara in her IPSY bag in September. I finally picked some up. I haven’t tried it yet, but she loves it and I love the looks of that brush! The box was a bit mangled, but who cares!
Speaking of hair, I love the sets Sephora puts out so I grabbed this one.
I bought a similar one last year, and enjoyed trying the different products. Of course one of those products, I didn’t like and it is in this sampler as well – maybe I will find a home for it – the Drybar Detox Dry Shampoo – it is a great product but the scent is too over-powering.
I picked this up for Crystal, don’t worry, I already told her. I usually get her a perfume roller ball sampler every year, and when Elizabeth and James first came out with the Black and White – I picked it up for both of us, and she loved it – so I had recently seen that they came out with two additional fragrances and saw this cute little set and snatched it up!
Here is another set that I picked up to help combat my winter dry skin. These sets are often an amazing deal. I have heard great things about FAB and have only tried a few things, so this set was a great value and way to try a few different things. I love the lip balm. I was worried about the red one, but I really love it – it is quite sheer!
This Origins Mask is a repurchase for me, I love this stuff! I know I have posted about it before.
I used some of my rewards points and picked up these point perks, both products I already have tried and have loved, so figured it was a no-brainer to grab these.
I also got my birthday gift 🙂
I also usually fall for an impulse purchase based on a review I have seen on youtube or read on a blog. Of course I can’t find the video, but I think Alison is who I heard raving about this product. I haven’t tried it yet, but will followup and tell you what I thought!
That is it for actual products but in the 2 orders I placed I got 3 samples in each…
I am most excited about that vanilla abricot fragrance – as I just recently heard amazing things about it. Of course I hate that it is only 1/2 full and isn’t even a spray!
Did you pick anything up from the sale?
