I am so late to the Fixer Upper party! I don’t usually watch home shows because cooking shows or sitcoms are usually on in our house. I don’t even know how Rose and I stumbled upon the Fixer Upper on Netflix but once we did we watched all the episodes in season one and two. I assumed season three would be there but it’s not. Of course, I hit the internet to see where I can find season three only to find out that it will not be on Netflix. I don’t have cable, I only have the Firestick. I’m still not a fan of the Firestick, by the way. I adore Chip and Joanna Gaines, they are the cutest. I love everything about the show. While I go through show withdrawal I have purchased their book and I’m currently listening to it. I’m more in love with them now! I love their energy!
I’ve previously showed a few snippets of this afghan that I have been working on. I finished it this weekend while watching the Fixer Upper! I made it from all of the scrap yarn that we had laying around the house. I was making this blanket for me but midway through it Rose asked if she could have it. So, it’s hers now and I just adore it. I wanted it to look eclectic and I think it is. Total cost for this project $0.00!!!! I think my goal for 2017 will be to see how long I can make projects from what I currently have in the craft room without going to the store.
I have been loving sparkling water lately, and picked this SmartWater up at an airport, I am just now starting to see it in stores around me, but I highly recommend it! And all things Le Croix! My fave flavor right now is cran raspberry. I just picked up Apricot, but haven’t tried it yet. I pick them up at Target.
Speaking of Target I picked up these gems in the seasonal section.
So being wonderful bloggers as we are, Russell and I taste tested these. (with the help of my friend Teresa!!) Our fave was the Sea Side Caramel, interestingly, I never tried the s’more one, I missed out! The pigs and taters was different, but only ok. Same with cookie butter. They have a few other flavors.
And speaking of chocolate – we have tried a few others and highly recommend these both!
Apparently, my favorites are all food related….and seems like I am sponsored by Target (I am not – but Target if you are reading, sponsor us 🙂 A couple of other seasonal items we have tried and loved include these pop corn flavors by Boom Chicka Pop
Both of course, are/were limited edition – so be sure to check soon if you want to try them! Thankfully, these are small bags, as it wouldn’t be hard to eat an entire one!! We didn’t, but we could have!
Here is a non-food favorite – I have been loving these Oxi-Clean power paks for laundry. Have I mentioned these before? In my head I wanted to do a whole post on laundry and don’t know if I ever did.
About a year ago, we got a new washer and dryer which is one of those high efficiency models, and lord we have had a time learning to use it. There is no agitator in it (it is top load) but I find it isn’t very efficient because I often have to wash things 2x or do 2 rinse cycles…I have finally learned that I have to straighten all of Russell’s work clothes out and do them separately. I always did his work clothes separate, but I have to actually uncrumple jeans and pre-treat any stains…whereas, I never had to do that before and things always came clean.
