I’ve had this pattern in my “to sew” pile for years. I think it is adorable but I just haven’t had a baby to sew for until now! My neighbor had a baby a few weeks ago so I thought I would try this out. I love how the bibs turned out and they are super fast to make.
I used flannel on both sides of the bibs but you could use quilter’s cotton also. Simply use the pattern to cut two pieces of fabric for each bib.
I love this car fabric! We love cars in our family so I had to make one of the bibs from that.
Place the fabric right sides together and sew around the bib leaving a 2″ opening on the side so that you will be able to turn it right side out.
Turn the bib right side out. I used a chop stick to help with the skinny areas of the bib. Press the bib, be sure to fold the fabric of the opening towards the inside so that it looks even and tidy. Sew a top stitch around the entire bib closing the opening.
Align the velcro pieces on the end of the bib and sew into place.
That’s all! I think each bib took about 25 minutes which isn’t too bad.
