When Crystal was visiting me at the beginning of March, we decided to spend the day in Baltimore and one of the things on the list was to do an Escape Room together. I have never done one, and Crystal has done a few and shared her experiences here on the blog. I was so excited and nervous at the same time.
We found Escape 45 and looked through their room choices, and chose Sully’s Haunted Cabin! We booked a reservation before the actual day. The process was easy!
The day came and we found out part of the escape room process is finding the location! We finally found a secure door with this sign on the other side, and a phone that you had to call the suite. Well, we could never get an answer. We ended up sneaking in when a delivery man came out! Shhhh don’t tell!
We finally made it to the suite.
We were excited.
The lobby had all sorts of games to play while you waited. We could hear people in other rooms. Which was fun! We were the only people in the lobby.
We were given an intro by a member of staff and escorted to the room. The room is designed for up to 8 people, we were 2! Crystal said this was the first time she had only gone in with 2 people. I won’t give anything away….but wow this was tough! Crystal had some experience so she gave me some tips. We had 45 minutes to ESCAPE! Spoiler – we escaped with our 3 clues! Now in full honesty, the third clue was kind of 3 in itself. Our walkie-talkies weren’t working properly so a member of the staff had to come into the room to give us the “third” clue. Well, he was very generous!
They praised our amazing skills and smarts! We were told only 10% of the people (even those with more than 2 people/brains) escape this room! Look at us!
We recommend Escape 45!
We have told you numerous times on this blog that we like food! So we scoped out a great place right next door! Dooby’s is a cute spot!
People were sitting around eating yummy looking breakfast and doing some work.
They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and have their menu on their website. We ended up ordering a latte and a hot chocolate. They were good!
Check out what else we got into when Crystal was here: this, this, this, this, and this. Stay tuned for more of this trip!
