On our recent road trip across the country we went to Sedona. It’s one of my favorite places but it’s been many years since I was there. We had a great morning driving from Tucson then we went to check out Prescott before heading into Sedona. When we would get close to a city my daughter’s job was to find a restaurant that she would like. She is a major foodie so if a restaurant get’s her approval then we know we are in good hands! For Sedona she picked Tamaliza Cafe!
When we arrived and noticed a lady tending to the garden out front it was awesome. She said that they grow most of their herbs! Now that is fresh food! I wish more restaurants would do that.
The restaurant is located on the main road through Sedona so you don’t have to go out of your way for great food! It has a stunning view across the street so we chose to eat at the front windows with bar type seating.
I’m not even sure what I ordered but it was divine and I wish I had more of it! Actually, we all loved our food! The ladies there were so kind and helpful. She said they are a family owned restaurant.
The salsa and the chicken were enough to travel back to Sedona for and I’m getting hungry writing this.
The restaurant came up on a search of the top ten places to eat in Sedona. I understand why it’s on the list.
The food is ready when you arrive and as the sign says above it is gluten-free, fresh daily, made from scratch, and not processed. Sounds like perfection to me!
Whether you are just traveling through Sedona or staying for a few days be sure to make time for Tamaliza Cafe. I think you will really enjoy it!
