We going the Episode right where Episode 4 left off.
End of Group Date
Kenny and Lee bickering and Bryan and Rachel on a yacht. South Carolina Yacht Club. Night.
All the other men watch the drama unfold with Kenny and Lee. Kenny explains that he took issue with Lee describing him as “aggressive,” especially considering that Kenny thought they had squashed their drama. Kenny assures Lee that if he were aggressive, everyone would know it. And with that, Lee walks away and leaves Kenny.
Rachel comes in and gives the date rose to Bryan.
We get a lot more Kenny/Lee drama, that honestly I don’t want to type about. They are both annoying. I hope they go home! But the Producers want to string this nonsense on and like typical fashion and sure there will be a 2 on 1 date with these nit wits.
1 on 1 Date with Jack
Sitting in a horse-drawn carriage with Rachel, very far away from Rachel, Jack feels that there’s a “definite connection,”. I don’t see it.
They go to eat oysters and then they go shagging. Rachel says they they get along well, ut oh Jack’s days are numbered.
After dancing Jack tries to win over Rachel by claiming that he sucked at dancing because he was distracted by her beauty. The poor guy then goes in for the kiss, which Rachel stops. Jack is blinded by I am not sure what! This date is so boring.
Back at the hotel, the boys are still wrapped up in the Lee/Kenny drama. Ok that is boring too!
Back to Rachel’s date with Jack, Jack says he is so shocked that his feelings for her developed so quickly. Jack decides that he “gets” Rachel’s father based on the fact that Rachel says he has a sense of humor, Rachel reminds Jack that he doesn’t even know her father, but his mind is made up: They’re practically best friends. Jack says he’d like nothing more than to bring Rachel back to Dallas and laying in bed and hang out. Um? Rachel isn’t impressed, and neither are we. Rachel sends Jack home.
Rachel decided there is no need for a cocktail party because her mind is already made up.
Eric, Peter, Adam, Will, Matt, Alex, Josiah, Anthony, Kenny, and Lee
Dean and Bryan already had roses.
Now they head to Norway.
1 on 1 Date with Bryan
Rachel visits the guys and steals Bryan away for a little one-on-one date. Today, they’re going to explore the city. Rachel wants to test their emotional connection, decides they’re going to rappel off an Olympic ski jump that stands at 187 feet. Together, they make it through, with Bryan only forcing her to stop for a kiss once. (Bryan is like Corinne – is sex and kissing all he has?). They make-out. Bryan tells Rachel that he is so confident, he doesn’t think this is too good to be true. He thinks this is a fairy tale, and as much as Rachel loves that idea, she wants to know why he’s still single.
Now at dinner, Rachel talks to Bryan, blames the fact that she doesn’t know how to take a compliment on the fact that she was a late bloomer, and guess what?! Ding, Ding, Ding, Bryan says he’s the same way! Talk about a fairy tale! Bryan tells Rachel that he was so thin in high school and didn’t start getting attention from girls until senior year. Additionally, a couple of years ago, he was in a four-year relationship, during which he admits he didn’t know how to handle serious issues, he realized it was time to grow up. Now, he always wants Rachel to know where he stands, which is why he tells her that he’s falling in love with her, “I can’t even let you know how excited I am to let those words out of my mouth.” He gets the rose.
The guys get another date card for Adam, Dean, Anthony, Peter, Matt, Will, Alex, Eric, and Josiah, which means Lee and Kenny get a two-on-one date. And in case you were wondering, Lee “can’t recall two-on-one with two people coming back.” You can’t say Lee isn’t a sharp one!
On the group date, the guys meet Coach Tom, who’s going to teach the guys how to play handball. Furthermore, they’re going to play handball while wearing wrestling uniforms because what did you expect from this show?
On the court, Peter keeps his focus on Rachel, but it’s Will who brings his A-game, leading his team to victory. This earns Will the first sit-down of the evening, where he informs Rachel that he was hurt around the same time Nick broke her heart. But now, he’s “definitely feeling” Rachel, and she likes him too.
But the other guys aren’t just going to let Will have the date rose. First up, Alex writes Rachel a multi-page letter that he read aloud to her and Adam might’ve sewn song lyrics onto something?! Josiah describes how Rachel’s beauty radiates from her core, and about how he truly believes she is the woman for him. Rachel calls him out on the fact that he never asks her questions and/or seems to want to get to know her. Then Peter and Rachel chat a while and then get into the hot tub. Will gets the date rose.
2 on 1 Date with Lee and Kenny
Kenny is FaceTiming with his daughter. He cries when he tells her, “I’ll see you very, very soon,” before realizing that means he’s going to get sent home, so he quickly corrects himself and tells her he’ll be home “soon enough.”
Lee lifts weights in jeans and cowboy boots. He’s more than ready to smile his way through the date. But as Kenny explains: Rachel’s Eve, Kenny is Adam, and Lee is the serpent.
On the two-on-one date, the three of them board a helicopter to a remote location that’s apparently very cold. Lee has a strategy today: Kill ’em with kindness, smile, and maybe, if he’s ready to really set Kenny straight, wink.
First up, Rachel pulls Kenny aside, he admits that he yelled at Lee, but he tells Rachel that he’s confident that the more she gets to know him, the more she’ll get to know him. Really? Rachel is going to see the truth on her own, so with that said, Kenny wants to focus on them. Rachel says her gut tells her to trust Kenny.
But then she sits down with Lee. Lee starts the conversation by asking, “Can I be honest with you?”. He then accuses Kenny of all sorts of stuff. Seeing that Rachel is having trouble taking in this information, Lee gives her some backstory, apparently, Kenny confessed to Lee that he has a “dark side” that only comes out when he drinks. With this information, lawyer Rachel comes out and grabs Kenny to let him know what was said. He promises her that it’s “100 percent false.” Walking away from Rachel, Kenny cannot believe that Lee flat-out lied, really? I can believe it!
Kenny saunters his way back down to Lee to confront him.
Yep you guessed it To Be Continued!
Lee denies that he said anything about Kenny being violent, and Kenny assures him that had he ever gotten physical with him, Lee would “bear the scars.” Lee’s response? “Jesus loves you,” to which Kenny says, “You know what? Jesus don’t love you because…” and you can fill in the rest. By the time Rachel returns, where was she?, she tells Lee that she simply doesn’t trust him and sends him home. However, Kenny isn’t in the clear just yet. She’s not ready to give Kenny the rose just yet, but she will give him some more of her time. Lee, whose “that’s okay sweetheart” makes one last effort to tell her that Kenny has spent the last few minutes threatening him, but Rachel’s over it. She hugs Lee goodbye and leads Kenny to the helicopter, but Kenny can’t seem to get over how what other people say about him affects Rachel’s feelings.
Kenny asks Rachel to hold on, do what?? are you serious? He says one final farewell to Lee, telling Lee he hopes he can be the man God intended him to be. “There’s a decent Lee inside there,” Kenny says before walking back to the helicopter, where Rachel has spent the last few minutes shaking her head in disbelief at just how stupid this entire situation is.
Rachel confronts Kenny about the fact that he did not need to go back and talk to Lee, and Kenny claims that part of his process to becoming a better human involves not bottling things up, so he needed to get that off his chest in the moment so that he could forget about it. Kenny feels that he has a long fuse, and in relationships, he’s even less worried about his temper because, he says, “If I love you, everything that I say to you is going to be measured with that.” And at the end of the day, this guy just wants to be in love. Rachel can’t deny that she trusts Kenny and believes that he’s been nothing but honest with her. Thanks to his sincerity, she gives him the date rose.
Bryan, Will, and Kenny all have roses.
Dean, Eric, Peter, Alex, Adam and Matt all get roses.
Now off to Denmark
1 on 1 Date with Eric
Eric and Rachel set out to explore Copenhagen when he announces that he’s looking forward to a possible intimate connection tonight. Ok then. They end up heading to some hot tub central. Sitting in the hot tub — and surrounded by other people in hot tubs — Eric declares that what he really wants in this moment is… a bunch of selfies. They make-out. Rachel and Eric visit an amusement park before sitting down to dinner, where he talks about how he never really felt love growing up, especially not from his mother. When he first started dating, he’d run from anything that felt like love. He doesn’t know if it’s love with Rachel, because he’s never experienced that before, but he does know he’s falling in love. At this point, he’s willing to do whatever it takes to open up more, and Rachel, happy with their progress today, gives him the date rose.
Dean, Kenny, Bryan, Alex, Matt, Peter, and Adam and turns them into vikings. After the guys row a boat to a beach and meet Tom and Morton, their viking fighting instructors. After the men get dressed, they participate in some classic viking games, which include yelling, trying to grab a greased-up stick, wrestling without using their arms, wrestling while standing on one leg, and any other form of wrestling with a quirk. In the end, Kenny and Adam go head to head, and even though Kenny takes the win, both men walk away with bloody eyes.
Bryan steals Rachel away first to talk about how perfect their fairy tale life is going to be. Rachel says, well we live in different states…Having at least one important conversation, she asks if his family will accept her, and he has no doubt that they will. And in that moment, Rachel gets emotional just talking about a man who accepts her, flaws and all, and does nothing but reassure her, as she says, “I haven’t had that before.”
Rachel then sits down with Peter and decides it’s time to tell him that what first attracted her to him was how nervous he was. In return, Peter admits she has him thinking about the future. And then, in the most adorable moment of the show, Rachel asks, “Can you kiss me?”
Speaking of Kenny, he’s not feeling his best. He needs to feel like there’s a definite possibility of a future with Rachel, otherwise, why is he staying away from his daughter? Sitting down with Rachel, he admits that he’s not sure their relationship has grown in all the ways he would’ve liked, there is something missing, and although he believes they CAN get there, they’re just not there. Rachel decides it’d be best for him to go home to his little girl. Rachel then walks Kenny out and says goodbye, with Kenny’s final comment being that if his daughter grows up to be like Rachel, “then I knew that I did my job.” He then FaceTimes his daughter and cries as he tells her that he’s coming home.
Rachel then returns to the guys to tell them about Kenny, after which she gives Peter the date rose.
1 on 1 Date with Will
Together, they head off to Sweden to dance in the street, talk about love with a couple who’ve been married for 35 years, and basically never touch. Even the old man across the table realizes Will’s distance, explaining that kissing the woman you love is “very important.” But Will doesn’t take the hint. Walking to the top of a castle, Rachel is hoping that Will will do more than grab her hand, but as they stand side by side and look at the view, he does nothing. That evening, they’re back in Copenhagen for dinner, and despite Rachel’s not-so-subtle toast about “moving forward” and asking Will what kind of woman he’s looking for, he still doesn’t get the hint. Instead, he talks about how he mostly dated white girls growing up. Meanwhile, Rachel, who also grew up in a predominantly white area, mostly dated black guys. Rachel asks him what kind of boyfriend he typically is, ironically he says Passionate. He goes on to say that physical intimacy is very important to him, and in the past that was his main focus. All Rachel hears is that Will is a very physical guy who’s barely touched her. Rachel explains that even though they’ve built a friendship, she didn’t feel wanted today. And as much as they want to, she’s not sure their relationship can get to that place. She sends him home.happened.
Rachel says she has to say her hardest goodbye… to Alex.
Eric and Peter safe, she gives roses to Bryan, Matt, Dean, and Adam. Rachel claims that her feelings for Alex just weren’t on the same level as her feelings for other men, but they are with Matt and Adam? I am confused by them still being there!
Shew we made it through 4 hours!! There isn’t an episode this week.
SO who is still there: Peter, Dean, Matt, Bryan, Eric and Adam
I’m gonna just leave this here. If he doesn’t win, I hope we see more of him!!
