The Bachelorette Rachel Season 13 Episode 8.
Are you ready for Hometown Dates? This season has seemed tremendously fast! Am I the only one who thinks that? – I KNOW that 2 more episodes have aired, but I am catching up!!!
Erica and Rachel
Rachel starts out in Baltimore for a date with Eric. Yay Maryland represent! Of course he tells her that this area isn’t where he grew up, but in a bad part of Baltimore. They have a fun game of basketball and she meets some of his friends. We do end up with some family and of course race is a topic. Again, I will say, I am glad it wasn’t such a huge thing this season, as I thought it would be in the forefront of every episode. I found Eric great this episode, he seems to have really grown and likes Rachel a lot, I do see them more as friends then romance though….
Bryan and Rachel
Next up Bryan in Miami. Bryan’s mom, oh my. She tells Rachel if Bryan is happy she is happy and that he has dated a lot of people blah blah, she then tells Rachel that she would kill her if she didn’t make Bryan happy. She realizes that she said that on National TV? What a stupid thing to say. Rachel laughed it off. I wonder if all of his ex’s are alive and well?
Peter and Rachel
Next up Peter and Wisconsin. I literally wrote NOTHING down. This date had zero drama. They went to a farmer’s market and met some of his friends. Rachel tries to find out from Peter’s mom if he is ready for marriage. Mom doesn’t sell it as he is ready, but she also doesn’t not sell it, if you know what I mean. His family seems very NORMAL. They are very comfortable together. I like Peter.
Dean and Rachel
Next was Dean’s hometown date. The whole date, felt like it shouldn’t be on TV. I felt so bad to be watching. Shame on the Producers for airing all of that, and forcing Dean to go through that pain. Dean says he hadn’t seen his dad for 2 years, Producers – yep let’s reunite them! NOT GOOD. NOT GOOD. DON”T! Dean’s sister is nice, and tells Rachel how strong Dean is. Dean and Dad have a fight, and Rachel tries to talk to his dad, but dad isn’t having it. This whole situation, seems to have drawn Rachel and Dean even closer. I like him.
I won’t beat around bush (especially since this post is going up what 3 weeks since this episode aired), Dean was eliminated, and ABC thinks to make things better, they announce he will be on Bachelor in Paradise. Yeah, that doesn’t quite absolve you. Dean does ask Rachel why she said she was falling in love with him. Agreed Dean – why did she.
