On our summer road trip we arrived into Memphis right at dinner time! We traveled from Oklahoma that morning. We had a big breakfast at Pioneer Woman’s Mercantile and had not eaten since then! My son and husband have eaten at Blues City Cafe a couple of times while they were on the Hot Rod Power Tour and loved it. My son really wanted to go there again and honestly I’ve never said no to BBQ! Is that even an option?
I would like to point out that literally my GPS usually travels from one restaurant to another. Even if it’s three states away, it’s usually programmed to find a restaurant versus hotel or anything else! Just a little insight of how I like to travel.
Blues City Cafe is located on the corner of Beale Street which is where all the action is!
We ordered a ton of food. The prices are very reasonable and we were hungry!
We started with this plate of random goodness. All of it was good!
Rose had the stuffed mushrooms and really enjoyed them.
I had fried chicken! It was so good!!
The restaurant itself is no frills, but frills aren’t needed. It’s perfect just the way it is.
You have to have the sweet tea. I mean it’s the South, sweet tea is almost mandatory.
If you are traveling to Memphis be sure to treat yourself to Blues City Cafe!!
