Mandalay Bay is my favorite hotel in Las Vegas and I look forward to my visit there for many reasons. I certainly look forward to the restaurants. We always eat at the Burger Bar but this was my first dining experience at Citizens.
Citizens is located near the Mandalay Bay casino and is open 24 hours a day. We visited Las Vegas in early July, we drove to Vegas from Tucson early in the morning and then stopped to see Seven Magic Mountains! Needless to say by the time we checked into the hotel and got settled we were ready to eat!
We dined “outside” of the main restaurant for optimal people watching! Las Vegas is awesome for people watching.
As you can see this is a great spot to watch people passing by. The size of Mandalay Bay is very hard to describe. It is enormous to say the least. In the background of this photo you can see the Fleur restaurant.
There is also a small deli area if you would like to order something quick to take with you.
The price of food in Las Vegas is not what it used to be. It’s more expensive so even your average meal can add up for sure.
Rose ordered the meatloaf and she loved it. As you can see the portion size is large so you can share this with someone.
I ordered the BLT and potato salad. The bacon was excellent.
I’m missing a picture of something we ordered so either my son or my Dad ate their food so fast I couldn’t get a picture! Everything we ordered was very good and I would suggest Citizens as a good place to dine for lunch.
The Burger Bar has become a tradition each time we visit Las Vegas. I’ve told many people about the Burger Bar and they have all loved it also. Simply put the burgers are amazing. I don’t care which one you get they just don’t disappoint.
Rose ordered the sliders this time and they were perfection! Either three or four came with the order.
Don’t forget to get the fries also. They are so good.
The prices are reasonable for Las Vegas and the portion sizes are large enough that sometimes you can skip the next meal. I don’t know that I’ve tested that theory but I think it’s possible. I say the prices are reasonable but check out the $65.00 hamburger on the menu above. I didn’t order that!
They do have healthy menu options. I didn’t order any of those options but I have gone to The Burger Bar for a dessert dinner with the kids on a previous visit. We all ordered huge ice cream sundaes. The kids had one with a Krispy Kreme donut on top. Not a piece of a donut…the entire donut. We visited in early afternoon for ice cream and we were too stuffed to eat dinner that night so keep that in mind! Maybe share with someone!
The Burger Bar is located in the shopping area between Mandalay Bay and the Luxor. The good thing about Las Vegas is that there is a lot of walking so at least you can walk off some of these huge meals!
I’ll do another post of other dining options at the Mandalay Bay, this post barely scratches the surface!
