I can’t seem to focus on the tons of meaningful and probably useful blog post drafts that I have so here is a little bit of rambling of what’s been going on in my world.
These days I’m listening to travel podcasts on my commute. I seriously can’t get enough of the Amateur Traveler podcasts! I have learned about so many places that I would like to visit. The podcasts are fun and very informative. There are approximately 585 episodes so in my true OCD fashion I’ve printed a list of all of the episodes so I can check them off once I’ve listened to them. Don’t think for a hot second that I don’t want to accomplish the entire list because I do..and I will. I have listened to almost 200 hundred episodes.
This morning I didn’t have enough episodes downloaded so I had to listen to music. I put my playlist on shuffle and I was so tickled that some of my favorite kick ass songs came on. It’s like the universe knew I needed to stay awake on my dark commute at 6:00 am. First up was “Sweet Home Alabama”. I love that song. It makes me think of driving around in my VW bug at age 16 blasting that song and knowing that I was the shit. Second up was “Paradise City”. Again that song makes me think of happy memories. One memory was years ago when my son was about 10 years old and I was dropping him off at Camp Woodward in Pennsylvania and that song came on as we were walking around. It’s like welcome to camp…your favorite song is on and life is good. Then the song “Hey Mama” by David Guetta. If I’m ever driving entirely too fast it’s when I’m listening to a song like this.
I’m completely loving Shark Tank this year, more so than in the past. I like the guest Sharks. My other go to list of shows is long: Survivor, The Middle, Speechless, Modern Family, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, America’s Funniest Home Videos, any and every tiny home show, Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon, and the Pioneer Woman. I also watched the movie “Girls Trip”. I thought it was great. Another good movie that we recently watched was “Baby Driver”. It was so good!
I’m in the market for a new binge show for the holidays. Please give me some recommendations!
Running around in circles. That is the only exercise I’ve had. Otherwise I’ve been working my regular job, maintaining my Etsy shop, and working hard at growing the travel agency. Some days I feel like I have it all covered. Other days if I accomplish one thing another thing has fallen thru the crack.
I must plan 2018. I’ve gotten bad about planning vacations for the family or even small getaways. I must get that going.
