The Grand Canyon – Desert View – East Entrance

September 18, 2017
Grand Canyon Desert View

We recently visited the wonderful city of Flagstaff, Arizona while on a cross-country road trip.  We got an early start on a Sunday morning and headed north to the Grand Canyon. We decided to take the scenic route on 89N through the Coconino Forest.  Once you arrive in the town of Cameron you turn towards the Grand Canyon on AZ-64.  I believe there was a gas station in Cameron and a few stores but once you turn on AZ-64 there…

Pioneer Woman’s Bakery at the Mercantile

September 6, 2017
Pioneer Woman Mercantile

Kerry and I visited the mercantile this summer and it was amazing!  That’s putting in mildly!  We enjoyed breakfast and happened to meet the cowboys!  After we shopped and ate we visited the bakery upstairs! First of all upstairs is absolutely beautiful.  The furnishings are lovely with so many beautiful sitting areas.  The assortment of chairs, sofas and rugs are on point. The bakery line can get long but it was worth it.  There is a nice assortment of choices.…

Blue Waters Resort & Spa Antigua

Blue Waters Resort & Spa Antigua

In August, I was invited to Antigua and Barbuda by the Tourism Board to spend five days on the Island to experience some of the resorts and activities firsthand to help me further sell Antigua to my clients. I must say, I fell in love with Antigua. I had been there once before a few years back on a cruise stop, and truthfully don’t remember much about my day there.  I know we were with friends and we toured the…

Breakfast at Pioneer Woman’s Mercantile

August 31, 2017
Pioneer Woman Mercantile

Yesterday I wrote about our visit to the mercantile and shared all of the wonderful pictures.  Before we shopped we actually had breakfast at the merc. There was a small line outside but it moved quickly.  There were tents for shade and benches if needed. The building is absolutely beautiful down to the very last detail.  The menu is delightful.  It was hard to narrow down what we wanted but we managed. The dishes that they served breakfast on were…

The Mercantile ~ www.fabulousindeed.com

Kerry and I finally made it to see the Pioneer Woman’s Mercantile this summer!  We have been talking about visiting it since it opened last year.  I built my summer road trip to go through Oklahoma specifically to go to the mercantile!  Can you say slightly obsessed? I’m so glad we went because it was everything I wanted it to be plus some more and a cherry on top! We had the most wonderful breakfast there also and even met…

DoubleTree by Hilton in Flagstaff, Arizona

August 16, 2017
Flagstaff, Arizona

I’m still writing about our summer road trip for a few reasons.  One, because it was awesome.  Two, because I wish I was still on the road trip! I could live on the road floating from one place to another and never having a “home”. That being said, I sure wouldn’t mind spending a great portion of time in Flagstaff.  I’ve been there previously and I’ve loved it. I couldn’t wait to visit again so that I could show my…

Visiting Seven Magic Mountains

Seven Magic Mountains

Our amazing road trip included a visit to Las Vegas!  It is one of my favorite cities after all.   Before the trip I kept seeing pictures of Seven Magic Mountains on social media and I just had to see it!  Neon art in the middle of the desert, by all means yes!!! Seven Magic Mountains is a two-year art exhibition in the desert just outside of Las Vegas.  It is by the Swiss Artist Ugo Rondinone. We drove from…

Buc-ee's Travel Center

I’m not certain what it says about my life that I’m so excited about the travel center that we stopped at in Texas.  But I was excited, I still am excited and I want you to be excited too! My son has traveled to Texas many times with my husband and last year they stopped at Buc-ee’s Travel Center in a different part of Texas.  My son told me that they have about 100 gas pumps and a huge store…
